Shonn Hinton is one of the most passionate, skillful, and talented guitarists that very few people have ever heard of. Audiences around the world have watch in amazement as he’s feature on stages with Mary J Blige, Lil Wayne, Jay Z, John Legend, & Jill Scott. At the age of 35, Hinton’s style has been compared to that of a physical voice, singing with great conviction; making him quite the choice for big name acts. For Hinton, music was second nature. Born in 1979, in Rockford Illinois, into a family of musicians, the fruit didn’t fall from the tree at all. Being that his father a guitarist, and his mother a pianist, young Shonn Hinton’s choice of becoming a drummer completed the ensemble. He found the guitar to be the most fascinating instrument. The start of Hinton’s epic love story was created when he was 3. Hinton’s father introduced him to a Fender Stratocaster. It was love at first sight, the color, shape, and contour of the body, the headstock, and the skunk stripe that lay on the back of the neck of this glorious instrument, it was official. Hinton was in love and didn’t even know it yet.
