Daniel D-Rock Hutchinson is a 24 year old singer/songwriter/musician. Daniel hails from a very musical family that has influenced his musicality from a very early age. Daniels father is a MOBO Award winning Gospel singer songwriter who has been teaching and advising Daniel. Daniel began his pursuit for a music career with his abilities on lead and rhythm guitar. In 2003 Daniel was nominated and won the Junior Musicianship Award at the Sandwell Young Achievers event. He began playing at his local church every Sunday and was soon invited to play for other gospel groups that took him around the UK. Playing weekly for different gospel artist and community events allowed Daniel to make many useful contacts, which allowed him to have a lot more work including function gigs as well gospel events. From the age of 17 Daniel worked as a guitarist with a jazz-fusion band called “Judy’s House”. While working in the band Daniel’s song writing ability came to the fore during studio and song writing sessions igniting his passion for song writing. In early 2011 Daniel’s passion for song writing led to one of his compositions being used in the recording of an advert that was tendered for a new Sony product called the “Sony Bloggie Touch”. Daniel Continues to perform his own compositions, and is currently touring as a session player with Raleigh Ritchie.
